PLAN

Day 1: Fes to the Gateway of the Sahara

Your four-day expedition begins with a private pickup from your Fes Hotel or Riad. Escape the city toward the Middle Atlas mountains, stopping first in the alpine town of Ifrane, often called “Little Switzerland.” After visiting the ancient cedar forests to see the local Barbary macaques, we’ll continue through the scenic Ziz Valley and the fossil hub of Erfoud. Upon arriving in Merzouga, enjoy a welcoming glass of traditional mint tea before settling into your charming hotel or Riad for a restful evening at the desert’s edge.

Day 2: Nomadic Encounters & Night Under the Stars

Today is dedicated to the magic of the Merzouga region. Start with a visit to Khamlia village to experience the soulful rhythms of Gnaoua music, then explore the historic Miffis Mines. We’ll venture deep into the dunes to share tea with local Bedouin families and learn about their traditional lifestyle. As the sun begins to set, trade your vehicle for a camel trek across the golden peaks of Erg Chebbi. Spend a magical night in a cozy Berber tent, enjoying a traditional dinner under one of the world's clearest starry skies.

Day 3: Todra Gorges & The Dades Valley

Wake early to witness a spectacular Saharan sunrise before heading west toward Tinghir. Explore the breathtaking Todra Gorges—the highest and narrowest canyons in Morocco—where you can walk along the river and enjoy local Berber delicacies for lunch. The journey continues through the "Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs" into the stunning Dades Valley. End the day at a beautiful hotel perched atop the mountains, offering panoramic views of the rugged landscape below.

Day 4: Panoramic Valleys & Return to Fes

After a mountain breakfast, we begin our return journey north. We’ll navigate back through lush palm groves and stop at a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the Ziz Valley to admire the vast vistas with a final desert tea. As we cross back over the Middle Atlas, keep an eye out for nomadic settlements and their traditional goat-hair tents. After a leisurely lunch and a final pass through the cedar forests, your adventure concludes with a late afternoon drop-off at your accommodation in Fes.
