Day 1: Fes to the Golden Dunes of Merzouga ​

 

Your Sahara adventure begins with a private 8:00 AM pickup from your Fes Hotel or Riad. Journey through the "Switzerland of Morocco," Ifrane, and the ancient cedar forests of Azrou, where you can meet the local Barbary macaques. After a scenic drive through the mineral-rich landscapes of Midelt and the palm-fringed Ziz Valley, you’ll reach the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes. Meet your desert guide for a captivating sunset camel trek into the heart of the Sahara. End the day with a traditional dinner and Berber music under a canopy of stars at our desert camp. ​​​

 

Day 2: Desert Exploration & Nomadic Culture ​

 

Wake up early for a breathtaking Saharan sunrise before returning to Merzouga for a refreshing breakfast and shower. Today is dedicated to the secrets of the desert: visit the seasonal Lake Sirji, listen to the soulful Gnawa music in Khamlia village, and explore the historic Mefes Mines. We will also visit a local nomadic family to share tea and learn about their traditional way of life. After an immersive day of discovery, enjoy a relaxed evening and an overnight stay at a charming local hotel or Riad in Merzouga.

Day 3: Rissani Market & Return to Fes ​

 

After breakfast, we bid farewell to the dunes and head to Rissani to explore the region's largest traditional souk. Our return journey takes us through Erfoud, famous for its marble and fossils, and back through the lush Ziz Valley. We’ll stop for a leisurely lunch in Midelt or Zaida before crossing the Middle Atlas peaks once more. With plenty of stops for photos and fresh mountain air, your tour concludes with a 6:00 PM drop-off at your Fes Riad, filled with lifelong memories.
